We are part of the largest service organization in the world. The Rotary Club of St. Michaels is one of 34,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide. A proud member of Rotary District 7630, we’ve been active in the St. Michaels and greater Bay Hundred community for 77 years. Youth programs are a particular passion of ours, and every year we grant $25,000 in scholarships to graduates of St. Michaels High School.
In 2015, we chartered St. Michaels’s first Interact Club and inducted its inaugural board. We cherish our partnership with these young, Rotarians-to-be and support them as part of our annual agenda.
St. Michaels Rotarians meet for breakfast every Wednesday at Harrison’s Harbour Lights Restaurant in the St. Michaels Harbour Inn. Our doors open at 7:30 a.m. for a 8:00 program start. Join us for Happy Hour on a 5th Wednesday, also at Harrison’s Harbour Lights Restaurant or other local speakeasies. The 4th Wednesday of the month is sometimes reserved for special projects. Contact Jennifer Pogoda for more information.
We always have an open door for guests, visiting Rotarians and anyone interested in becoming a member of our club. Welcome New Members! We are delighted to welcome Bonnie Morris and Jeff Joseph, both of who are active members of our community and dedicated to the ideals of Rotary “Service Above Self”.
Like other Rotary Clubs, our areas of focus are:
- Promoting peace and conflict resolution
- Fighting disease
- Saving mothers and children
- Supporting education
- Providing clean water
- Growing local economies
We recently celebrated our centennial year. #100actsofgood.
Rotary International’s motto is “Service Above Self,” and we try to live by it.
If you’re familiar with the area, you may already know that our Rotary Club helped build the St. Michaels Nature Trail and helps to maintain it on an ongoing basis. You may also spot us along the sides of the St. Michaels-Tilghman Island Highway helping to keep our roadways and unique environment clean.
We regularly stuff care packs full of foodstuffs to supplant school lunches and help sustain children in our area over the weekends and during summer months.
Community Partnerships
St. Michaels Rotary brings together professionals and community leaders from different backgrounds and industries to work towards a common goal of making a positive impact in our local and global communities. One of the ways in which we achieve this is by forming partnerships with various community organizations, groups, and individuals.
These partnerships enable Rotary to collaborate with the community, share resources, and leverage expertise to create sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

Farming is a mainstay of the Eastern Shore economy, so what a treat for local farmer Carol Bean to host us at her farm, feature a home-cooked breakfast made entirely of locally sourced ingredients, and speak to us about the agriculture industry.
